Willy Drinkwater, M.Ed, CADC-II, LADC-I

Addiction Counselor & Co-Occurring Disorders Specialist
                              Private Practice/Educator/Lecturer

About
I am entering my 26th year working in the addiction/mental health field; from shelters in the beginning, to hospital detoxification units, day & evening treatment programs, inpatient psychiatric facilities, to, well, I guess one could say I have worked in all the modalities.

Currently I find myself an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts-Boston & Cambridge College where I teach in their addiction counselor education programs. Courses on Substance Abuse & Co-Occurring Disorders, Counseling Techniques, Role of the Addiction Professional, Alcohol & Drugs in Society, to name a few. I also lead Practicum Classes at both Institutions.

My Company, Entertaining Education, Inc. provides staff training's for mental health professionals, addiction treatment facilities, addiction education programs, corporations, and community organizations on various addiction and mental health topics. (under the 'Ed Offerings' button above)

My presentation style is high energy and humorous due in part to my previous life as a 'stand-up' comedian, and a comedy writer/voice talent for the "Rock of Boston," WBCN 104FM.

I maintain a private practice where I work with those that have substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders.
